Islamabad: Earthquake Reconstruction Rehabilitation Authority (ERRA) on 7 July reviewed the ongoing progress of reconstruction projects in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and other plans for the new financial year. The meeting was held at ERRA headquarters under the Chairmanship of Deputy Chairman Abu Bakr Amin Bajwa, a news release said. It was informed in the meeting by Pakhtunkhwa Reconstruction Rehabilitation Authority (PERRA) DG that the Women Development Center Abbottabad had been completed 94% while Blinds School Abbottabad was almost 84% complete. He said both of the projects are likely to be completed in the coming months.

The deputy chairman also directed NESPAK and PERRA to hold a meeting in the coming week to identify projects where a delay was observed so that impediments would effectively be resolved for speedy reconstruction. The State Earthquake Reconstruction Rehabilitation Authority (SERRA) DG gave an overall progress report and appraised that 5,289 projects had been completed in AJK. The Deputy Chairman Abu Bakr Amin Bajwa directed SERRA and ERRA officials to hold an urgent meeting to focus on and complete projects that had reached 80% completion so that the allocated funds for the year 2017-2018 could be effectively utilized.
