PESHAWAR: Ambassador of Nepal to Pakistan Sewa Lamsal Adhikari invited Pakistani business personnel to explore investment opportunities in her country. Speaking during a meeting with traders of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday, she said that both nations have tremendous potential in the areas of trade, tourism, investment and cultural promotion. Pakistani people are vibrant and innovative in business enterprises with an established tradition, proven skills, innovation and craftsmanship in the region.
Foreign investment potential:
The diplomat said her country is offering special incentives and tax exemption packages to foreign investors and Pakistani companies reap full benefits from the policy. “At present, hydro-power is one of the most attractive and commercially rewarding sectors for investment in Nepal. The availability of abundant snow-fed water resources place the country in a unique position in generating commercially lucrative hydro power. Additionally, the agriculture and herbal procession industries could be other areas of interest where the Pakistan companies can invest their knowledge and expertise and technology.
Rawalpindi: The Ambassador of Nepal Sewa Lamsel Adhikari and Tunisian envoy Adel Elarbi paid a visit to the Rawal International Expo 2017 organised by Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) at Ayub National Park Rawalpindi. While visiting different stalls, the envoys appreciated the role of RCCI in promoting trade activities through exhibitions. The envoys took keen interest in Auto Show where vintage and classic cars were placed to attract large number of children and families of the cities. They enjoyed the musical evening where local artists performed their talent in comedy and singing. They assured their full cooperation and assistance for promoting trade delegations between the chambers and replicate the same in their respective countries. RCCI President Raja Amer Iqbal welcomed the guests and gave a short briefing on Rawal International Expo 2017. RCCI President said that Rawal EXPO 2017 was aiming to increase business activities along with providing entertainment to the masses. More than 12 international companies including China, Thailand, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Nepal and Sri Lanka have displayed their products in the expo.
